Ohio State Prospectors Association

This item was found at the Double D Claim last year by Bryan and was recently identified as an "indian cone" made from hematite.
I had never heard of such an artifact but after doing some research found that they do exist and many have been found in southern Ohio.
Scratches can be seen on the surface under magnification. I haven't found a clear explanation of what they were used for.
