I'm thinking about getting into panning as a hobby among my many other hobbies and live in Perry county and know there was at least 1 mine around. Does anyone think it's possible to pan gold out of the local creeks?

Always a possibility of finding gold in the stream. Might take some time but it could very well be gold in the streams in that area.
